The New Mexico Public Education Department established the Equity Council requirement for all schools in the state to ensure that the important work of the Yazzie - Martinez Lawsuit was carried out by the experts at the local level. The Raton Public Schools Equity and Innovation Task Force is a great opportunity for us to come together as a community to learn, coordinate, and take action steps to support our students and prepare them for the future. The Task Force is an invaluable initiative where we need a committed group of individuals from around our community to participate, collaborate, and take actions to improve outcomes for students.

There will be changes at Raton Public Schools this school year as we adhere to state and local health guidelines regarding school operations. Guidance from health agencies is dynamic and constantly changing. As the current situation continues to evolve, we will continue to keep you updated and involve your concerns in the decision-making process.
